Safety Boats

We operate two safety boats.  The larger of these, the Multi, carries a crew of two. Its most distinguishing feature is the bow door which can be lowered to an angle beneath the water surface and so make recovery from the water so much less arduous for both rescuer and rescued than would be the case if a lift over the side of a more conventional boat were needed. 

The smaller Rigiflex is used for back up to the main boat and as a coaching boat when operated by an instructor attending single seat sailing boats.  Training is available to RYA Powerboat Level 2, which is the first step towards becoming a safety boat driver.
