Keel Boats

There are two types available in the keelboat fleet, the Drascombe Longboat and the Kinsman.  The Longboat is operated by a crew of two and can carry four passengers.  This provides a more relaxed way of enjoying sailing but if you want to take part in operating the boat you will be encouraged to do so. 

The Kinsman is sailed by a team of two to four people.  There will be an experienced skipper on each trip but increasingly you will be encouraged to take a greater part in managing the boat.  There are two Kinsman available, one fitted with a conventional tiller, the other with a central seat and wheel steering which makes it possible to control the boat without having to move or change position.
